Accounts Payable Administrator - Markham, Ontario

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Administrator to join our team at our Head Office located in Markham. Reporting to the Controller, the Accounts Payable Administrator is responsible for administration of Park’s accounts payable function and will support the corporate accounting team.
Position responsibilities include:
- Responsible for full cycle A/P inclusive of: entering invoices into proprietary accounting system, scheduling cheque runs, preparing cheques for signature, obtaining all required signatures, distributing cheques and filing backup documentation
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding status of payments
- Add new vendors to system as required, and update information that has changed
- Reconcile vendor statements
- Maintain vendor filing system and organize files within online directory
- Support, as needed, reception duties
- Other duties as required to support the team
Who you are:
- Proficient in accounting and financial management (A/P)
- Experience in the residential property management industry is considered an asset
- Strong software application skills (MS Office)
- Ability to work well under pressure, multi task and meet deadlines
- Capable of prioritizing work to meet operational timelines with excellent attention to detail and follow-up
- Ability to work independently, as well as within a team
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- The successful candidate must be eligible to work in Canada and will be subject to a criminal background check.
