MeeT Restaurants is looking for an AP Clerk who will help us change the world, one amazing meal at a time! The successful candidate is detail-oriented, a numbers all-star, and a great communicator.This is a part-time position, reporting to the Senior Bookkeeper/Financial Controller, with an opportunity to acquire more hours (up to full time) as we continue to expand and enhance the role of the accountingTeeM. The role can be remote, (but once biweekly would require meeting with company ownership in Downtown Vancouver) or can be hybrid - with an office in the downtown core or the option to work out of one of our 3 downtown restaurants.

Responsibilities

The position's key tasks include all functions of the accounts payable process including but not limited to;

  • Entering invoices into Quickbooks for payment, monthly vendor statement reconciliation
  • Vendor cheque runs/setting up EFT/CC payment
  • Periodic credit card reconciliation
  • Setting up credit accounts with vendors
  • Archiving of invoices using our google drive system
  • Providing updates to vendors on payment enquiries
  • Managing the due to/from process.
  • Keeping track of company assets and overseeing the PO process for all Repairs and Maintenance projects.

About You

Tangibles

  • Education in Accounting is considered an asset, but not necessary.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a progressive accounting related role an asset
  • Restaurant or hospitality industry experience is a major asset



Accounting Skills an asset for this role;

  • Knowledge of accounts payable functions.
  • Knowledge of provincial and federal regulation on taxes, reporting, regulations, laws.
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks is considered an asset.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
  • Detail-oriented and numbers focused
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills.
