Provide project administration support services for complex projects in this career building role

Service BC is government’s chief provider of services to the people and businesses of BC. The work of the division enables the design and delivery of accessible, responsive and cost-effective services, making it easier for people and businesses to interact with government. Through a provincial network of 65 in-person offices and the provincial contact center, SBC provides approximately 300 government services for more than 40 partner ministries and agencies. These services can range from improving peoples’ experiences accessing income assistance services through partnership with Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction to the renewal of a driver’s licence on behalf of ICBC. Through BC Registries and Online Services, we register and maintain businesses, societies and personal property. Service BC also delivers secure and privacy-enhancing identity services for people and businesses to support access to digital government services and information.

The Integrated Services Solutions (ISS) Branch is responsible for the management and operation of Service BC’s Contact Centres and Online HelpDesk and works across Service BC lines of business to offer integrated service solutions by identifying, qualifying and pursuing new opportunities to expand the use of Service BC service channels and enablers. The branch goals are to create efficient and effective improvements in overall service experience for people and businesses while helping to solve pressing business challenges for partners. Onboarding new partners to our common service platforms such as the BC Services Card or the provincial Contact Centre creates economies of scale resulting in efficient and effective improvements in overall service experience for people and businesses.

The Project Administrator provides administrative operational support and assistance with projects related to the day-to-day operations of our contact centres (SBC Provincial Contact Centre and Health Contact Centres).

The goal of the Integrated Service Solutions team is to assist ministry partners in achieving their business goals by providing quality end-to-end service and business solutions that are effective, affordable, and secure. Their functions include account management, issue management, solution design, opportunity assessment and identification, service delivery and performance management. The Project Administrator is an assigned representative on teams working closely with one or more Managers to assist in the completion of tasks. This resource must be able to maintain a professional and friendly approach while working within a transparent and collaborative stakeholder environment whose mandate is to meet the evolving needs of people through a citizen-centric approach. The Project Administrator may also be required to provide support to other departments withing the Integrated Service Solutions branch, including but not limited to contract management.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:


  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent with the completion of coursework in project management or related field. An equivalent combination of experience in project management and/ or education may be considered.
  • A minimum of three (3) years administrative/ clerical experience in an office environment.


Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following:

  • Experience supporting contact centre operations.
  • Experience supporting formal governance structures.
  • Experience supporting contract management.
  • Experience handling multiple priorities concurrently in a busy office environment.
