P Walker Contracting in Smithers, BC is hiring! Log Scaler is responsible for scaling logs, and checking data quality in a fast paced, high volume environment.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Record and Evaluate Log Quality
- Measure Logs, and determine Grades
- Obtain and Enter Accurate Data
- Use Ministry Approved Software
- Contribute to a Team Environment Focused on Safety, Quality, And Production
WHAT DO YOU REQUIRE?
- Experience within the Outdoors
- Knowledge of the Forest Industry
- Log Scaling Experience is an asset but not required
- An Interior Log Scaling Licence an asset but not required
- An Aptitude for Numbers; Attention to Detail; Ability to Work Calmly Under Pressure; Self-Motivated
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communications
- A Valid B.C. Driver’s Licence

Contract length: 10 months
Part-time hours: 25 per week
