Job description
Brokenhead Ojibway Nation is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the term position of Early Childhood Educator Assistant to work in close relationships with children and families within the Early Learning Child Care Programs. Must be willing to promote positive guidance, and enhance the success of learning through interaction, socializing and play at the Brokenhead Ojibway Nation Aboriginal Headstart, Nursery and Daycare.
Qualifications and skills
- Highly self-motivated with team player qualities that is reliable and punctual.
- Able to help the child to reach developmental milestones as per age.
- Must be able to attend workshops, and training and get available resources to gain best practises and skills to assist in the development of language for the child.
- Ability to work well as a team member and in large or small groups
- Ability to work with a wide range of children of all ages, planning and developing activities.
- Preference is given to those with ECE training (ECE II, I or Assistant)
- Clear police record check, Child Abuse Registry and Adult Registry Check (provide with application) also CPR and First Aid Certification would be an asset.
- Dedicated to promoting communication between parents and Early Learning Child Care program staff.
- All interested applicants must have flexible hours for day or evening programming.
- Must be willing to submit to pre-employment drug testing and future random drug testing
