As a member of the team, you become involved in a wide variety of work, from the audit of companies and societies to tax planning and preparation. Most of your work will be in compilation and tax. You will help clients on a wide variety of issues ranging from cash flow management to day-to-day operations.

KMA Chartered Professional Accountants is seeking an ambitious CPA with a minimum of two years post-qualification experience to join the firm. This position will play the role of a manager in the firm and includes future opportunities for the right candidate. This individual will possess strong time management, planning and communication skills. The position will see the individual focus upon engagement management and ensuring that all larger engagements are completed on client driven deadlines.

Key responsibilities for this role:

• Supervise and review the preparation of financial statements and tax returns (T1, T2, T3 and GST/HST returns)
• Liaise directly with clients to ensure a quality engagement.
• Communicate with various organizations on client issues.
• Provide support to the partner and other staff.
• Oversee, train, and mentor staff.

The key qualities for the successful candidate:

• Chartered Professional Accountant designation
• Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience
• Experience with Canadian controlled private companies of various sizes
• Strong client service focus
• Proven and effective ability to communicate in writing and possess interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude
• Strong Interest in tax and tax planning
• The ability to review files and personal tax returns.
• Knowledge of US tax is a definite asset.

Compensation:

The successful candidate will receive a competitive remuneration package based on his/her level of experience.

We have barriers in the office to separate clients from staff. KMA has embraced the use of the cloud. Most client documents come and go via our secure Portal. The number of in office visits has dropped dramatically as a result.
