Role: Child Care Coordinator – Tumbler Ridge
Wage: $52,000.00 - $56,000.00 Annual Salary, plus Government Wage Enhancement

(currently $4.00 per hour for fully certified ECE’s)
Benefits: YMCA membership, paid sick days for yourself and family, 8% vacation pay

(includes scheduled operational closures), paid training, full benefits package,
5% employer-matched pension, discount on child care (excluding IT Care),
education and career advancement opportunities

Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
8:00am - 5:00pm (hours may vary to meet program needs)

Program:

The YMCA is the largest not-for-profit provider of child care in Canada and the
YMCA of Northern BC is the largest provider in the north, serving: Chetwynd,
Dawson Creek, Fort St. James, Fort St. John, Prince George, Pouce Coupe and
Vanderhoof. YMCA Child Care is a home away from home.

Responsibilities of this role:
• Building relationships and providing exceptional customer service in a timely fashion
  • Ensures that all programs are operating in compliance with the Child Care Licensing
Regulations and YMCA Child Protection Policies
  • Work with their team to deliver high quality and age-appropriate programs based on the
YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum
• Maintain confidentiality of information related to the centre, children, families, and staff
• Developing and distributing required documentation to necessary parties
  • Working collaboratively with the rest of the Child Care Leadership team
  • Engages and builds a team dedicated to excellence
Qualifications:
• Current and valid Early Childhood Educator License to Practice
• Experience working with children in a child care/recreational setting
• Experience in the development and leadership of an effective, engaged team an asset
  • Current child care First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain
• Satisfactory Criminal Record and Clear Vulnerable Sector Search
  • Immunization record including TB test
  • Three satisfactory professional references
