Full-Time

Monday-Friday Day Shift

Hopewell Health Centers is a nationally accredited federally qualified health and community mental health center with 23 sites across TEN counties throughout Southeastern Ohio (Athens, Franklin, Gallia, Hocking, Jackson, Meigs, Perry, Ross, Vinton, and Washington). Drug & Alcohol Therapist Schedule:

Drug & Alcohol Therapist Responsibilities:

  • Provides case management services within the scope of licensure/certification and in accordance with all applicable policies, rules, and standards including evaluation/assessment of client’s strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences; participate in the development of an individualized treatment plan based on appropriate level of care; provide individual intervention and assistance and support during crisis situations; maintains relevant documentation; and assists in the development of discharge/transition plans.
  • Conducts evaluation/assessment of client’s strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences. Administers substance abuse screening tool and determines appropriate level of care. Participants in the development of the client’s ISP with goals and objectives in the client’s own words.
  • Provides individual intervention, symptom monitoring, relapse prevention, and self – management to improve functionality, reduce symptoms, and increase coping skills using evidence – based practices.
  • Provides home and community based services to clients and/or families as needed in accordance to the ISP.
  • Provides AoD focused groups for Crisis Stabilization Unit and outpatient clients. Provide groups in community settings as appropriate.
  • Assists and participates with the client in obtaining and maintaining essential community resources
  • Maintains minimum acceptable productivity expectation as designated by agency and supervisor directives. Follows billing procedures as required by agency policy.
  • Completes correctly and submits in a timely manner per agency policy documentation, billing, time sheets, mileage, and, as required by supervisor(s) work and appointment schedules.
  • Informs supervisor(s), client rights officer, and/or human resource director, as appropriate, of any complaints from clients, families, members of the community, or workforce members of actual or suspected workforce member abuse/harassment towards clients or their family/significant others or other workforce members.
  • Attends as scheduled and participates in supervision, team meetings, professional development, First Aid/CPR training and serves on agency committees, as appropriate.
  • Abides by agency code of conduct, policy and procedures and mission statement (e.g., business, clinical, personnel, and plan manuals) at all times on agency property or while conducting agency business.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor(s), program director, clinic director, and agency administration.

Drug & Alcohol Therapist Requirements:

  • Eligible to work in the United Stated
  • HS diploma or Equivalent (BA is social work, psychology, or other social service strongly preferred)
  • 2+ years experience in AOD field.
  • Possession of a current CDCA certification and approved credential in the state of Ohio for designated position.
  • A valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, good driving record, and suitable vehicle for transportation of persons served; and the ability to assist persons into and out of a vehicle
