A career in Risk Management, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to advance and foster integrity based decision making and conduct by PwC professionals throughout our organisation. You’ll focus on promoting and monitoring compliance with applicable external laws and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures to help manage PwC’s regulatory, litigation, and reputational risk. Our Compliance team is responsible for oversight of all Compliance activities by our PwC professionals. As part of the team, you’ll help promote and monitor compliance with applicable external and internal policies, laws and regulations and subsequently, manage PwC’s regulatory, litigation and reputational risk.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader:

  • Understanding of a multinational organization’s risk and compliance profile;
  • Interacting with and assisting compliance leaders across a wide range of subject matter areas (e.g., anti-corruption, privacy and information protection) to understand unique monitoring requirements and incorporate them into an integrated and repeatable monitoring process and strategy;
  • Building and leveraging relationships with subject matter specialists from various ethics and compliance areas and other firm functional groups;
  • Influencing, interacting, and communicating with stakeholders at all levels;
  • Ability to present topics such as findings and recommendations confidently from creation of materials to socialization and presentation;
  • Creating documentation and leadership level reporting with the ability to present to leadership;
  • Working in a team environment while also successfully completing projects and deliverables within timelines with minimal supervision;
  • Being organized and detail oriented in executing day to day activities and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment;
  • Leveraging PowerPoint / Google Slides for curating discussion and presenting to various levels of leadership on complex topics; and,
  • Creating procedural and business process documents.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader understanding ethics and compliance programs and processes, preferably experience in building, developing and/or advising such compliance programs and personnel within a global professional services firm or comparably large and diverse enterprise within the private sector while exhibiting abilities to:

  • Performing monitoring activities to confirm compliance programs are operating effectively at mitigating risk and identifying areas for enhancements;
  • Conducting or participating in internal reviews (including risk assessments) and audits;
  • Implementing internal controls for various compliance programs (e.g., anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, antitrust, data privacy, sanctions and others), and identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities;
  • Identifying opportunities for new and innovative ways of leveraging technology to solve compliance monitoring problems;
  • Performing financial transaction (e.g., expense) testing, business process improvement, project management, and data analytics to support compliance programs;
  • Supporting strategic priorities as they relate to compliance monitoring; and
  • Working in a multicultural and multilingual environment.
