Desert Mountain Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Fitter for our Mesa Branch. General Purpose

This position reports to the Fire Sprinkler Foreman and is responsible for assisting the Fire Sprinkler Foreman/Journeyman with conducting installs, service, maintenance, and repairs on sprinkler systems.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Assisting in performing installs, repairs, maintenance, and testing of fire sprinkler systems and associated devices to make sure they are fully functional and operational.
• Learn and follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures utilizing necessary resource materials to diagnose and repair equipment and systems.
• Running, drilling, and strapping sprinkler pipe.
• Cutting in sprinkler drops.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints.
• Have a professional attitude and appearance with ability to interact with team members, supervisors, and customers.
• Operating hand and power tools follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Must have a clean driving record.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Working knowledge of residential and commercial pipefitting.
• Ability to work in different positions such as on ladders, scaffoldings, and high lift equipment.
• Ability to follow directions and work on a team.
• Ability to be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
• Ability to be motivated and a self-starter.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience working in the plumbing or construction trades
• Experience with fire sprinkler systems
• Phoenix CSA or NICET is a plus.
• High school diploma
• OSHA – 10 (construction) must be obtained prior to hire date.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
