Lawrenceville Surgery Center is a single-specialty ortho surgery ASC.

• We have some of the best outcomes in the Gwinnett area.
• We are seeking a dynamic clinical professional that will carry the dual role of both sterile processing department tech and surgical technologist.
• They will perform other interrelated duties as assigned or required.

They will be exposed to:

• Fumes
• Chemicals
• Colds
• Noise
• Radiation
• Blood/body fluids
• Infectious diseases as a part of the regular performance of duties as required of this role.

This professional will be expected to perform and participate in:

• Decontamination
• Cleaning
• Assembling
• Packaging
• Scanning
• Sterilization
• Storage
• Distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• SPD Technician, certification preferred.
• Ortho experience required.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knows operating room instrumentation.
• Organized setting up operating room instrument tray.
• Understands the operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
• Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
• Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.
