Graphic Designer – Entry Level
Job Overview:
JNJ Apparel is seeking a talented Graphic Designer with a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow market trends to join our team. This is an entry level position, but consideration for a more experienced candidate will be taken in account during the hiring process.
- Reports to: Art Director
- Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
- Location: Northport, Alabama
Job Responsibilities - including but not limited to:
- Conceptualize and create original artwork for a variety of customers in various styles.
- Work closely with co-workers in the Art Department to execute tasks.
- Communicate with the sales team on design projects from initial concept to approval.
- Maintain the integrity of branding associated with JNJ Apparel
- Follow collegiate licensing standards in artwork and submissions.
- Ability to follow current trends in decorated apparel and print techniques.
- Continued desire to improve and learn new design techniques.
Education/Experience:
- Proficient in a Mac environment.
- Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design/Fine Arts, or proven design abilities based on current portfolio.
- 1-2 years of experience preferred, but not mandatory.
- Proven experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Applications (Illustrator, Photoshop, & InDesign)
- Knowledge of the screen-printing process is preferred.
Essential Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Strong communication and time management.
Salary and Benefits Information:
- Pay Rate: $15-$17 per hour, depending on experience
