Haul Truck Operator - Local to Fort McMurray
Job description
We are seeking Haul Truck Operators who have experience operating Haul Trucks for this exciting permanent opportunity. Candidates must be local to Fort McMurray or the Wood Buffalo region in order to be considered. No LOA is provided.
Candidates have to be local to Fort McMurray. Busing is provided to/from site.
What would you be doing?
- Operating a Haul Truck or other heavy equipment in an open pit mine.
- Operating assigned heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Understanding and adhering to all policies, procedures and standards.
- Participating in all safety and culture building programs.
- Training on new equipment when requested.
- Valid driver’s license with 3 year drivers abstract required.
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO).
- Minimum of 2000 hours of work experience operating Heavy Equipment which includes 2000 hours on either a 773+ Haul Truck OR Articulating Truck OR D6+ Dozer OR 250+ Excavator OR Loader OR Grader.
- Candidates with less than 2000 hours on Haul Truck will be considered for an Enhanced Assessment.
- Diverse heavy equipment experience considered a strong asset.
- Open Pit Mining experience considered an asset.
- High school diploma and/or post-secondary degree considered an asset.

- 6/6 schedule, 12 hrs/day
- Monthly Incentives up to $1,104 (taxable and for eligable team members)
This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
