Heavy Duty Mechanic/Apprentice

Diversified Transportation is looking for a full-time Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in Fort McMurray. Apprentices (all levels) will also be considered.

Reporting to the Shop Manager, you will work in a fast-paced environment maintaining a large fleet of motorcoaches. Diversified offers an above-average work environment with an emphasis on safety and training. To qualify for the Mechanic position, you must be a reliable self-starter with strong interpersonal skills. The shift for this position is a 7 on / 7 off rotation.

Position Requirements:

• Heavy Equipment Technician Ticket; Apprentices also considered
• Valid (or willing to obtain) class 1, 2 or 3 driver's license with airbrake endorsement; 1st Year Apprentices must have a minimum class 5 non-GDL licenseCost of upgrade to a class 3Q license covered by the employer

• Pre-employment drug & alcohol and physical demands testing
• Shift work required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintenance/repair of motor coaches
• CVSA Inspections
• Respond to breakdowns
• Spring and winter maintenance
• Supervision of apprentices

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $53.02-$54.74 per hour
