Heavy Duty Mechanic (Rotational Schedule) - HET/Automotive/Millwright

Collicutt Energy Services Corp. is expanding again – this time in our brand new branch in Grande Prairie! We are specifically looking for qualified HET, Auto or Millwright Service Technicians to join our team. We are looking for someone who is ready for the opportunity to grow with the company and the industry. This position works on an 8/6, 15/6 or 15/13 rotation in Grande Prairie, AB.

Responsibilities:

• Experience with repairing fracturing equipment and truck and trailer is an asset
• Experience with CAT 3512, Cummins QSK50, Detroit 60 and MTU engines is an asset
• Experience with CAT TH48 and TH55 transmissions is an asset
• Experience with Hydraulics is an asset
• Perform internal engine repairs such as bearing rolls, cylinder head replacement, cylinder and piston pack replacement, camshaft replacement, oil cooler and turbo replacements
• Perform pre and post repair run up testing of customer units
• Troubleshoot and repair natural gas and diesel engines
• Troubleshoot and repair Transmission and Hydraulic issues
• Natural gas and diesel engine preventative scheduled maintenance
• Develop productive customer relations and ensure prompt and efficient attention to the customer needs
• Maintain service area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
• Communicate unresolved issues to Service Manager
• Complete required high-quality documentation, such as JSA, service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality control documents
• Mentor, develop and support junior staff and apprentices for future growth and development
• Willingness and ability to support other field staff and work overtime hours if needed
• Willingness to work in the Red Deer Shop when not required to work in Grande Prairie, or other geographical areas
• All other duties as required

Requirements:

• Experience with repairing fracturing equipment and truck and trailer is an asset

• Experience with CAT TH48 and TH55 transmissions is an asset
• Experience with Hydraulics is an asset
• Journeyman certificate; HET, Millwright and Automotive
• CVIP License is an asset
• Experience working around and repairing Frac equipment
• Excellent troubleshooting and decision-making skills
• Able to troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance on customer equipment
• Proven mechanical, hydraulic and electrical aptitude
• Safety and quality minded attitude
• Basic computer skills; email, Word
• Familiar and able to use CAT SIS, CAT ET and Cummins Quickserve and Cummins Insite
• A high level of initiative and attention to detail
• Exceptional communication and organization skills
• Able to mentor junior technicians
• Strong ability and willingness to learn
• Valid class 5 driver’s license and clean drivers abstract
• Must have reliable transportation

License/Certification:

• Journeyman (preferred)
• CVIP License (preferred)
