Position Overview:
As the worlds largest Caterpillar dealer, we are looking for the BEST Heavy Duty Mechanics who are ready to build a long-term career with Finning. The best part? If you live in the Prince George area, you will work a 7x7 continuous shift rotation and be home every night!
You will be set up with DEALER GRADE TRAINING, with COMPANY SUPPLIED TOOLS you will need to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair a variety of Caterpillar equipment within Prince George, BC.
Industry leading total compensation plan: $130000- $160000 / year

Job Description:
- Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar mining equipment
- Perform a wide variety of equipment repair diagnostics
- Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
- Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
- Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team
- Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required
Qualifications:
- Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification
- 3rd and 4th year apprentices may be considered
- Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
- Completion of Finning S-Levels, Failure Analysis, Machine Electronic Controls, or Tier 4 training would be considered an asset
- Completion of Caterpillar product courses would be considered an asset
- Previous repair and troubleshooting experience with Caterpillar general line products would be considered an asset

- This position is based out of our Prince George, BC branch on a 7x7 continuous shift rotation
- Must live in the Prince George area or willing to relocate
