Role Summary

The specialist is responsible for management and support of various infrastructure technologies on the distributed system platforms.

The specialist will require a broad skill set with excellent problem solving and analytical skills in addition to a strong automation and programmatic, Infrastructure as Code, approach to systems management.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide our clients with the first level of technical support and escalate as required while following Service Level Agreement (SLA) guidelines.
  • Follow a ticket system.
  • Windows servers and Windows clients support
  • Software and Hardware support for Windows systems
  • Responsible for PCs, Printers, and related equipment (Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Hard Drive, etc.)
  • Installing and upgrading Windows and software
  • WAN/LAN network and network devices
  • Data backup/archiving solutions
  • In-depth analysis of system problems and adapting methodologies to solve problems quickly in a production environment.
  • Adhere to, and support, IT policies and procedures.
  • Provide weekdays on-call cellular support with remote access from home
  • A vehicle is mandatory as local GTA travel is a requirement

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Virtualisation technology is an asset
  • Diploma or Certificate related to IT
  • Microsoft and CompTIA A+ certifications are assets
  • Highly comfortable in interacting with others, of varying personalities, in person, on the phone and through using remote tools
  • Capable of providing extended hours when required to meet deadlines
  • Able to prioritize and work effectively while being adaptable and open to constant priority changes
  • Calm and collected disposition because there will be pressure and difficult situations
  • Work effectively independently and in a team environment with a positive attitude

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time, Internship / Co-op

Salary: $17.00-$30.00 per hour
