Nursing facility seeks dedicated HOUSEKEEPER

Full Time and Temporary Part Time Opportunities!

Rotating Shifts- Daylight + Evening

Nestled in the woods near Forbes Regional Hospital, Woodhaven Care Center is one of Monroeville's best kept secrets. A rural setting in an urban location, the Center is just five minutes from Pennsylvania Turnpike Exit 6 for easy access from any region around Pittsburgh.

Woodhaven is a 120-bed Skilled Nursing Center with an 18-bed Specialty Care Unit offering a new web-based Wound Care Program.

To keep support this mission, our center seeks a Housekeeper to perform a number of daily housekeeping functions in an effort to maintain a clean, safe and sanitary environment for residents, visitors, families and staff.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing a clean and sanitary environment for all residents, visitors, staff and families
• Assuring resident rooms and furnishings are clean and sanitized
• Maintaining cleaning carts and equipment
• Following infection control policies/procedures to prevent the spread of illness and disease
• Ensuring rooms are properly ventilated to prevent condensation, mold growth and odors
• Collecting trash from patient and resident areas daily, and disposing properly
• Cleaning and sanitizing all bathrooms, residents’ rooms, public spaces and offices
• Dusting and cleaning walls, windows, screens and privacy curtains
• Reporting burned out lights and lightbulbs to the maintenance unit clerk immediately
• Additional maintenance duties, as needed

All applicants must be able to read, write and follow written and oral instructions, and must display strong communication, tact and interpersonal skills. A high school diploma or GED equivalent and previous housekeeping experience are preferred but not required.
