The Position:

Under the supervision and direction of the Head Housekeeper at the Diavik Diamond mine, the Housekeeper is a key member of the Bouwa Whee Service Team who will be instrumental in providing exceptionally clean and safe accommodations for our guests. The Housekeeper is a Full-Time position.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Assist Head Housekeeper in preparing weekly orders for cleaning supplies.
• Provide Head Housekeeper with any information regarding incidents and/or efficiency of the day’soperation, so that there will be no change in service between shifts due to lack of communication.
• Assist in preparing an accurate and complete monthly inventory of all supplies and products in your area of operation.
• Attend and be an active participant in daily Housekeeping Toolbox and PASS meeting.
• Review with Head Housekeeper the Daily Room Allocation sheet and confirm any special needs or requests that may arise.
• Check and ensure that housekeeping cart and storage areas are well stocked with all necessary supplies and cleaning chemicals.
• Cleaning of rooms, washrooms, hallways, landry facility and lounges

Qualifications:

• minimum one year within housekeeping or janitorial
• current WHMIS and First Aid certification
• familiar with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• proven team player with ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
• attention to detail and ability to follow checklists
• proven punctuality and a pleasant demeanor
• Consistent ability to follow all corporate safe work procedures in the operation of housekeeping equipment and chemicals
