Authorizations Representative
Orthopedic Associates of Dutchess County is seeking an Authorizations Representative to work with our surgical scheduling team. The Authorization Representative’s scope of responsibility is to contact all insurance carriers to obtain authorization for surgical procedures and/or tests, as ordered by Physicians, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners. All tests/services are required to have the authorization request sent to the insurance carrier in a specific required time frame based on the urgency of the request and type of test/service ordered. These time frames are updated and communication to the team as needed to better serve our patients. The Authorization Representative is a non-exempt employee and is eligible to overtime pay with prior approval and in accordance with the practices personnel policies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour
