Ramboll is accepting applications for the Summer 2023 internship program at our office located in Lindenhurst, NY. Each participant will be assigned a mentor who will guide them through project assignments. The program will provide internship participants with the opportunity to gain experience working in one or more practice areas. Our goal is to afford our interns experience with a variety of projects during the summer program to broaden their understanding an experience within their field of interest.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Your tasks and responsibilities during your internship may include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Support design work in various areas of the mechanical discipline; HVAC, plumbing, central utility plants, chilled water systems, steam systems, district heating, and ancillary systems.
• Perform site visits to document field conditions, including system tracing, dimensioning of spaces, review of documents, and recording site-specific conditions.
• Create design drawings utilizing 3D design software (Revit and/or CADWorx)
• Cooperate and communicate with other engineers, designers, and drafters assigned to the various phases of the project
• Assist other engineering disciplines to produce final construction drawings and details associated with various mechanical engineering projects.
• Perform checking of design drawings and specifications to ensure coordination and completeness

• Candidates should be working toward a B.S or M.S degree in Mechanical engineering with an interest in pursuing a career in energy systems design, with a concentration in central plants and thermal distribution systems.
• Candidates with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above are strongly preferred. Candidates with the completion of 4 college semesters (rising Junior status) are strongly preferred.
• Prior experience with design software preferred, not required (AutoCAD, Revit, CADWorx)

Salary Transparency Statement

At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an hourly rate between $22 and $25 per hour. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
