The Opportunity

We are looking for a Jr. Front-End developer who will take a key role on our team. Our Jr. Front-End developer must have knowledge in all stages of software development. You’ll be working alongside other engineers and developers, collaborating on the various layers of the infrastructure for our website.

As Junior Front-End Developer at VoPay, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining the website. You'll work with designers to ensure high-quality graphic standards and brand consistency, and to improve usability for our customers. As part of your responsibilities, you will optimize web design for mobile and other platforms for maximum speed. Ultimately, your work will have a direct impact on the user experience of our customers.

You will be working as part of a friendly, cross-discipline agile team who helps each other solve problems across all functions. As a custodian of client trust, you will employ best practices in development, security, accessibility, and design to achieve the highest quality of service for our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Determining the structure and design of web pages.

• Ensuring user experience determines design choices.

• Developing features to enhance the user experience.

• Striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design.

• Ensuring web design is optimized for smartphones.

• Building reusable code for future use.

• Optimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalability.

• Utilizing a variety of markup languages to write web pages.

• Maintaining brand consistency throughout the design.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

• Proficiency with core front-end languages (HTML, CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript).

• Proficiency in working with MySQL or other database servers.

• Understanding of key design principles.

• Experience with responsive and adaptive design.

• Familiar with cross-browser compatibility issues.

• Excellent verbal communication skills.

• Good problem-solving skills.

• Attention to detail.

Experience:

• Experience in website development

• Experience with front-end development (JavaScript, Html, CSS)
