LABOURER

Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time

Available Positions: 2-4 labourers

Job Description

As a labourer, you will take direction from and assist the crew foreman with facility and pipeline maintenance tasks, including rigging and hoisting, trenching, unloading and moving materials, working in a high traffic area, etc., provide general clean up and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of work area and act as a spotter and flagger for heavy equipment operators when deemed necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements (not limited to):

• Previous oil & gas construction and maintenance experience considered an asset but not necessary
• Ability to follow direction and attention to detail
• Must follow industry and company polices, safe work practices & procedures
• Team player
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, labour-intensive environment
• Must be willing to work outdoors in fluctuating climates (hot, cold, wet) and environmental conditions
• Valid Safety and/or Operator Tickets an asset (i.e.: H2S Alive, CSTS, OSSA Fall Protection, OSSA Confined Space and Standard First Aid with CPR, Skid Steer Operator Certificate, etc.)
• Be willing to work evenings, weekends, and overtime when necessary

Training Requirements (not limited to) – training will be provided if necessary

• WHMIS 2015
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods
• CSTS
• H2S Alive
• First Aid with CPR considered an asset
