Victoria is looking to hire the position outlined below for our Eagle Gold Mine located in Yukon:

LABOURER

The Labourer is responsible for providing general manual support. This position will be based at the Eagle Gold mine-site working a rotational schedule, 12 hours per day and day/night shift work schedule. Responsibilities are noted below which will include but are not limited to:

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Safety of self and others;
• Provide general labour assistance to the department;
• Site clean-up and general housekeeping;
• Understanding of basic tools;
• Small equipment operation;
• Maintain equipment in good operating condition, reporting, and logging maintenance requirements or concerns; and,
• Behave in a way that demonstrates support of Victoria Gold’s Vision and Values.

Qualifications and Experience

• Physically capable of manual labour;
• Capable of lifting fifty pounds (50 lbs);
• Willingness to learn;
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
• Self-directed and self-motivated, demonstrating initiative to do more than is expected or required in the position;
• Must pass pre-employment medical, substance abuse test, criminal records check, hold a valid driver’s license, provide a driver’s abstract; and,
• Have a proven commitment to safety, health and environmental standards.
