Position Title: Labourer

Job Nature: Full-time permanent position
Location: On-Site near Regina, Saskatchewan
Reports To: Shift Supervisor

Job Summary

Western Potash is a potash mining company located in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Our company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Vancouver-based Western Resources Corp. which is publicly listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. We are currently looking for one (1)
Labourer to join our team, and together develop the Milestone Phase I Potash Project.

Responsible for carrying out a variety of general labouring and warehousing duties. This person’s duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• General cleaning as required by Operations
• Clean up ahead of maintenance tasks
• Weekly Shop / Tool Crib Cleaning and assistance
• Site maintenance (Grass cutting, snow removal, ditch garbage etc.)
• Plant Garbage routine
• Assist the operation and maintenance teams
• Welcome and unload delivery trucks
• Record and manage all delivered items
• Manage warehouse issues and inventory, enter data in inventory management software programs
• Help out in other services providing support as required
• Operate all site loaders, hauling equipment, skid steer and fleet vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily housekeeping duties in the pumphouse, process, loadout, and compaction area during down times (i.e., cleaning product spills, Snow removal, etc.).
• Participate in pre-job planning and conduct pre-operational checks (visual walk- about) for operational safety of equipment.
• Determine appropriate equipment to be used for specific application including load capacity and conditions.
• Determine appropriate methods to be used for conditions/type of work.
• Ensure that Company resources are used efficiently and with care.
• Will be required at times to perform process field operator duties (collecting samples, clearing process equipment, etc.).
• Demonstrate clear, concise oral and written communications and listening skills; used when giving and receiving instructions, dealing with supervision and management, customers, and co- workers, and ensuring schedules and safety requirements are met.
• Demonstrate commitment to fundamental continuous improvements in a changing work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

▪ Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, as related to hoses and cables from the Dredge and related Wellfield equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

▪ Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud due to operating pumps.

Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

• Grade 12 or equivalent education.
• Must hold a valid SK Class 5 Driver’s License
• Experience operating, wheel loader, skid steer, or equivalent equipment considered an asset
• Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Program.
• Able to work in extreme outdoor temperatures.
• Able to recognize mechanical troubles and vehicle failure.
• Must be mentally alert, neat, and able to communicate effectively with all personnel.
• Operates all site mobile equipment, rental equipment, and fleet vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers, supervisor, management, and various agency personnel.
• Strong passion for Safety and Environment.
