The Role:

If you're the type that loves building things, this is the role for you. We're a fast-paced team seeking a talented individual who wants to help us spearhead bringing SMB's data more accessible to the world.

As a Lead Engineer/Developer Relations, you are expected to manage, support, and guide your team members within their daily work, code, and work methodologies. You would insure the roadmap deliveries in collaboration with the product manager and CTO.

You will be involved in the product life cycle: requirements estimation, development to production release. Your expertise in technologies solutions is key in the investigations for new services and features in which you will play a central role.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

• In collaboration with the engineering leadership, discuss, formulate, and document an architecture vision and approach for ForwardAI software products.
• Detail out and refine higher-level architecture decisions into a lower-level design.
• Design and implement restful Application Programming Interface (API) services
• Lead team of Software Engineers to customize our SaaS platforms with conversational UI components and bring design teams’ recommendations to life
• Communicate the technical vision to the engineering teams
• Oversee and support the work of the teams to ensure that the architecture decisions are being executed and the teams are following coding standards and architecture guidelines
• Work with our UI/UX (User Experience) designers to create a highly engaging user experience interfaces for all projects
• Lead implementation of technical and infrastructure initiatives to support architecture decisions.
• Ensure technical knowledge sharing between development teams on related or similar projects.
• Proactively identify technical debt and product areas that require attention or improvement at the architecture level
• Help develop the technical skills of the engineers and support their career growth.
• Constantly develop yourself in technology advancements, research new approaches, tools, and best practices in the software architecture and design space
• Suggest improvements to our technology stack to optimize it for strategic growth and the competitive advantage of ForwardAI
• Work closely and collaboratively with other global teams on milestones and strategic needs
• Build strong relationships with partner ecosystems

Skills:

• Very good knowledge and strong skills in Node.js at the backend level (Typescript preferred)
• Good knowledge about MySQL and NoSQL systems (preferably MongoDB and DynamoDB)
• Good experience with secure REST APIs implementation
• Good hands-on experience with Angular > 7
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with a variety of web application designs, including monolithic and microservices, understanding of service breakdown, and communication principles.
• Experience guiding the continuous improvement of processes and technology.
• Strong sense of ownership. You take responsibility for the success of the engineering teams.
• Track record of delivering successful solutions as a leader.
• Excellent technical documentation skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in computer science
• 4 years+ Backend development professional experience
• 2 years + tech lead and/or DEV team management
• Strong team player with the ability to resolve problems and meet deadlines
• Able to understand and convey complex technical information
• Good analytical, problem-solving, investigative abilities
• Business-level fluency in English
• Autonomous, reliable, and committed

Nice to Haves:

• Previous experience with enterprise development
• Previous experience in FinTech
• Previous experience working with overseas teams
