Objective:

The Livestock Specialist is responsible for supporting regional sales efforts by serving as the product expert. This position will assist in selling efforts with customers and locations by supporting sales efforts with effective training and education of customers and employee. All duties should be performed in accordance with company policy.

Our expectations are that you:

• Are able to work full time hours
• Are available to work overtime (including weekends as needed)
• Live in, or within commuting distance of the assigned territory
• Are willing to travel within the assigned territory (MFA Retail Districts 1, 2 and 3)

• Have experience working in agriculture and enjoy being a key player in the industry
• Have a desire to succeed in your career and the ability to represent the company’s culture
• Can uphold the company’s mission, vision and values
• Have excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
• Have effective oral and written communication skills
• Have knowledge of agronomy and/or livestock
• Have excellent interpersonal skills
• Can work with various departments and foster teamwork
• Can work independently with minimal supervision
• Have proven ability to close a sale
• Can travel within the region (Approximately 80%) (MFA Retail Districts 1, 2 and 3)
• Have excellent organizational skills

Highly qualified candidates will bring:

• B.S. Degree in Agriculture, Ag Business, or related program
• One- two years of sales experience (required)
