We are recruiting for a Maintenance Technician at our Canning Plant located in Scarborough, ON.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Setting up, operating, dismantling, and replacing parts and the assembly of equipment.

• Cleaning, sanitizing mechanical equipment, arranging and cleaning the work area

• Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting equipment.

• Knowledgeable in regards to the electrics, pneumatics, and mechanics of assigned equipment.

• Understand the qualities and properties of the packaging materials used on the assigned equipment

• Procurement of necessary parts and recommendations for improvement

• Responsible to ensure proper clean-up activities are complete

• Comply with all applicable health and safety legislation

• Perform any other related duties, or follow any other instructions as may be directed by the Supervisor

Requirements:

• Must be mechanically skilled or skilled in a trade

• Must have a general knowledge of packaging machinery and have the ability to replace, program, set up and operate equipment

• Must be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a production plant environment

• Must know how to use both power and hand tools

• Certified millwright preferred

• Some electrical and mechanical knowledge

• Must have good problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail / Accuracy

• Good knowledge of Packaging Machines & processes preferred

• Must comply with all applicable GMP, Health, and Safety Training
