Job description

Responsibilities:

• Generate 3D models from customer product prints
• Design forging sequence and corresponding dies
• Estimate product weights, process loads and equipment capabilities
• Generate 3D models and prints for dies
• Develop control plans and FMEAs
• Conduct Root cause analysis for manufacturing defects
• Develop cost estimates
• Support shop floor problem solving

Qualifications:

• 5 years of hot forging process experience
• 3 years of CAD software
• Working knowledge of die design

• Knowledge of forging plant equipment: Mechanical Press, CNC, MPI, Induction Heater
• Experience with quality processes: APQP, PPAP, 8D, Document Control, SPC
• Knowledge of metallurgy and materials: SBQ steels, Tool Steels
