As we continue with our growth strategy, we are seeking Automotive Service Technicians and Heavy Equipment Technicians to add to our team. The successful candidate will enjoy working in our fully equipped Edmonton facility with overhead crane and multiple lifts, clean and kept in order.

The HET & AST will perform some or all the following:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain fleet vehicles and equipment.
- With above average attention to detail and a concern for the exact correctness of work, perform all repairs in a timely manner.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to identify the cause of automotive issues, work with Service Manager to prioritize, and offer effective and accurate repair recommendations in order to meet field demands.
- Inspect vehicles to ensure they meet provincial requirements for safety.
- Taking ownership of each task, providing quality repairs, testing & verify repairs before equipment leaving the shop.
- Perform equipment repairs and service on site when necessary.
- Diagnose and perform routine automotive maintenance.
- Keep detailed service reports and documentation.
- Promote and carry out Wilco Safety Procedures and Documentation.
- Build strong internal relationships by engaging in positive, professional communications.
Qualifications
- Heavy Equipment Technician - Truck and Transport Mechanic (dual ticket preferred).
- On Road Certification is required.
- 3-5 years HET experience, preferred.
- Experience with fleet vehicles considered an asset.
- Ability to work within a flexible schedule.
- Must have basic computer skills and comfortable working with smart devices and adaptive to new work order program.
- Valid driver’s license, Class 1 or 3 preferred.
- Must have the tools required to repair light trucks.
- Quality-driven individual who has a good sense of planning.
- Self-motivated individual with strong personal work practices.
- Schedule 6/1, 4/3 for construction season, 5 days per week in winter (closed over Christmas).
- Able to work Saturdays during the busy season, most long weekends off.
- Able to travel to Fort McMurray from time-to-time.
- Standard First Aid, WHMIS CSTS 2020 and TDG (training available).
