Our operations in Sault Ste. Marie includes the only seamless pipe manufacturing process in Canada and we are currently in the process of installing a new welded pipe manufacturing line. This will make Algoma Tubes the only location in North America to have both seamless and welded pipe manufacturing.

We are currently seeking experienced Industrial Millwrights to join our team in Sault Ste. Marie, ON.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

· Wage Rate: $30.97 - $40.22/hr

· Vacation: Less than one (1) complete year of service – one (1) day of vacation for each month of service to a maximum of ten (10) days – 4% of earnings. 1 to 5 years of service – two (2) weeks with 4% of earnings.

· Overtime: Paid at 1.5x after 44 hours per week

POSITION DETAILS:

· Full Time Permanent

· Shift Schedule (12hr rotation, Days/Nights)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Installation and Leveling of production machinery

· Read and interpret diagrams and blueprints

· Knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems

· Clean, lubricate and perform other routine inspections and maintenance work.

· Comply with company policies and procedures

· Maintenance record keeping, reporting and documentation

· Other duties, as assigned, or as business needs require

· Engaging in and maintaining a safe work environment

· Diagnose and repair equipment deficiencies

MAIN DUTIES:

· Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures

· Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools

· Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery

· Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions

· Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls

· Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts

· Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery

· Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery

· Construct foundations for machinery or direct other workers to construct foundations

· Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Completion of secondary school is required.

· Completion of mechanical diploma or degree is required.

· Candidates must successfully complete Fit & Drug testing, pre-employment medical

and online assessments to be hired.

· Minimum of three years of experience in a mechanical position
