As an OTR Driver, you will be responsible for daily oversight of logistics and trucking for the transport of people, finished products and raw materials, with full accountability to ensure timeliness and cost efficiency of all deliveries for Merritt across the US (Midwest, East Coast, South)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage overall D.O.T. logging and paperwork for drivers
• Manage drives when local and remote
• Unload and transport finished products and raw materials in the field
• In-house material expediter
• Deliver finished products to client location
• Display courteous actions towards clients
• Acquire signature of approval from location
• Act as liaison during and after delivery of product
• Verify quality and quantity of deliveries
• Handle minor mechanical needs of vehicle (check fluids, light bulbs, safety components)
• Keep vehicle clean at all times (clean before and after each delivery)
• Operate and maintain Merritt vehicles according to D.O.T. regulations and Merritt logbooks
• Maintain clean driving record

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years OTR experience
• Current CDL license is required
• Supervisory experience
• Must be able to work a flexible travel schedule
• Must have a clean driving record
• Ability to pass D.O.T physical
• Must possess knowledge of D.O.T. logs
• Ability to work without supervision
• Meet schedule and ensure prompt deliveries
• Strong communication skills
