Who We Are?
Service Market Logistics (SML) is part of Volvo Group Trucks Operations (GTO). We are a global
organization of 3,750 employees located in over 47 locations in 30 countries. Every day we deliver
world-class operational excellence to our customers by applying smart logistics solutions. Our job
is to develop, manage, and optimize the Service Market supply chain (aftermarket parts distribution to
dealer network) for all Volvo Group brands and joint ventures.
SML NA has 1,200 employees across the United States, Canada and Mexico. Our distribution network
consists of one Central Distribution Center and seven Regional Distribution Centers throughout
North America.
We are hiring for a packaging auditor to perform the following:
Specific Duties:
- Conduct product, packaging, handling, and trailer load inspections
- Capture and document photos and key data points through handheld tablet
- Interpret observations and identify the most appropriate incident type
- Provide inspection-related feedback to packaging engineer
- Inspect compromised cartons for product damage
- Other responsibilities as assigned
- Basic mathematics skills
- User experience with MS Excel
- Use basic hand tools requiring physical dexterity and mobility
- Wear protective gloves, glasses, boots and other protective equipment as required
- Handles pallet truck for loads exceeding carrying weight
- Occasionally lift, carry, or push weights up to 50lbs
- Occasionally climbs ladders to heights up to 20 feet to store and retrieve material
- Verbal and written communication skills
