Sensational Kids Therapy is a private, state-of-the art, outpatient pediatric therapy practice located in Washington, DC that has been operating since 2011.
We are looking for an occupational therapist to join our dynamic team. The position requires 3-5 years of experience in pediatrics and knowledge of evidence-based practice. Candidates should be independent, organized, flexible, and able to communicate effectively with parents, teachers, staff, and other professionals. Requirements for the position:
- Bachelor's or master’s degree from an accredited school program.
- Current Board of Occupational Therapy license issued by the District of Columbia.
- Current certification with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Three to five years of experience working in pediatrics.
- Knowledge of sensory integration theory and practice.
- Plan individual treatment programs, perform pediatric standardized assessments for purposes of evaluations/re-evaluations, and write thorough and clear evaluations to share with parents and other professionals.
- Design home programs, provide classroom recommendations, and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with staff, parents, and other professionals.
- Develop child-therapist rapport and scaffold activities as needed to achieve progress towards individual goals.
- Work with children with the following diagnoses: sensory processing disorder, autism spectrum disorders, genetic disorders, learning differences, cerebral palsy, developmental coordination disorder, and other motor delays and impairments.
- Bring positive energy to the clinic and love being an OT.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $73,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
