JOB DESCRIPTION
Pharmacist Job Description:
· Maintain integrity of pharmacy and specific departments, monitoring compliance with State Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations
· Analyse patient chart notes and perform drug utilization reviews.
· Evaluates prescriptions for clarity, route of administration, purpose of use, dosage, schedule, and compatibility with other medications.
· Consult directly with physicians on orders requiring clarification and discussion.
· Monitor technician activity regarding prescription entering, filling, and phone communication.
· Dispense medications following regulatory standards and guidelines.
· Counsel all patients regarding medications received.
Requirements:
Strong organizational and communication skills, verbal and written.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree, or Doctorate in Pharmacy Degree from accredited college or school of pharmacy
Must be a licensed pharmacist.
Physical Demands:
The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $59.00 - $60.00 per hour
