Knowledge of the Paperless Kroll Computer system would be highly preferable.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
We are seeking candidates who are compassionate and caring and who can understand the challenges our patients and their families face. As the ideal candidate, you are a pharmacy assistant responsible for assisting the pharmacy team in preparing medications and supporting them with optimal patient care. Working within a busy pharmacy or clinical environment, you have excellent communication and time-management skills.
GENERAL PHARMACY-
YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answering telephones, forwarding calls, taking messages, assisting customers, stocking shelves, operating cash registers, cleaning work areas and sterilizing containers.
- Order medications, organize supplies, and label drugs.
- Work directly with patient data, prepare insurance forms, and maintain patient profiles.
- Provide patient assistance for technical non-regulated functions as required (e.g., showing the location of an OTC product) while ensuring that a pharmacist is consulted for all patient therapeutic issues. Administrative duties include the following: Banking & POS functions: operating POS, monitoring charge accounts, account reconciliation, etc
- Data entry and billing of prescriptions using Kroll paperless Pharmacy Software ensuring that required documentation is complete, including third-party billing restrictions, co-payment management, and coordination of benefits
- Assist with the management and reconciliation of inventory
- Other duties as assigned by the Designated Manager or dispensing pharmacist(s)

Salary: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
