HealthCare Clinics Laboratory is looking for a phlebotomist/specimen collector who is well experienced, professional, and caring towards patients. We offer competitive pay, determined by experience. While working as a collector, mostly you will be swabbing patients for Covid-19 , RSV, Influenza A & B, Strep A, to mention but just a few as well as collecting other samples for testing. You will also be working within the clinic for scheduling and making some calls to patients.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Administering nasopharyngeal swabs or oropharyngeal swabs for Respiratory Pathogen Panel testing (including testing for Covid-19).
· Appropriately discarding used needles, syringes, and other items used during venipuncture procedures.
· Appropriately storing blood samples in accordance with established guidelines and accurately labeling specimens.
· Maintaining accurate patient records, which includes detailing any medical issues experienced by patients during venipuncture procedures that may affect the accuracy of test results.
· Taking collected samples to the laboratory testing area for testing.
Experience Required:
· Completion of a postsecondary education phlebotomy program.
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Valid Driver’s License.
· Proven experience drawing blood samples.
· Must have reliable transportation.
· Sound organizational skills.
· Excellent hand-eye coordination.
· Effective communication skills.
· Detail-oriented.
· Phlebotomy Certificate or related field is preferred.
· 3 years of verifiable experience
