Lakeside Book Company offers an incredible opportunity for growth, learning, experience, promotion. We are looking for press operators to grow our business, allowing us to make more books for our customers. As the largest bookmaker in the United States, you will help move the finished product out the door and into the hands of readers across the country.
Starting Rate: $27.54 - $29.48 per hour for day shift with a $.50 an hour shift differential for second and third shifts.
Work Hours: 8 hour shifts; rotate every 30 days; work 1 weekend per month
Location: South Plant located at 600 State Road 32 West.
As a Press Operator, you will:
- Set up, adjust, operate and maintain wide web printing press
- Install plates and blankets
- Make necessary color or register adjustments
- Replace press rollers, using hand tools
- Work in a team environment and cross-train with others
- Receive training to help advance your career
Thorough knowledge of wide web press required. Must have excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. DMP, RLI and COMN experience desired. Leadership experience is preferred. We will provide the job specific training you would need!

Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 20-50 lbs occasionally and up to 10-25 lbs frequently
- Ability to read and follow job tickets
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs
- Ability to read a micrometer
- Ability to do basic math and computer knowledge
