Job Summary:

The Product Manager is responsible for maintaining existing and executing new product initiatives. The Product Manager will satisfy the company’s strategic objectives, drive revenue increases and improve margins by meeting consumer needs and protecting against competitive intrusion through innovation and differentiation and will have a keen eye for gaps in consumer product offerings and the innovative mindset to fill them. This role is also responsible for managing company products pre and post-launch throughout their full life cycles by working in conjunction with a cross functional team. The Product Manager will monitor changing conditions and emerging trends in the marketplace, competitive landscape and consumer behavior to direct product efforts.

Job Duties:

  • Champions strategic product initiatives from opportunity identification and quantification (business case), prioritization, ideation, development and commercialization.
  • Ensures products are developed within deadlines to meet company and customer objectives.
  • Collaborates with Marketing to supports product costing and margins to minimize Cost of Goods Sold escalation.
  • In coordination with Business Insights develops industry, category, competitor, customer and consumer insights that drive product development decisions and go-to-market strategies.
  • Uses primary (focus groups, surveys, etc.) and secondary research results to develop actionable product plans.
  • Drives actions across the organization to bring products to market efficiently and in the shortest possible time.
  • Plans and carries out product launches in coordination with key stakeholders
  • Provides product support (in-person or video conference) for key customer meetings.
  • Maintains New Product Development tracking document to ensure timely delivery of products to market.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams on the development, QA, and release of products and balance of resources to ensure success for the entire organization
  • Manages all aspects of in-life products, including customer feedback, requirements, and issue resolution
  • Performs other projects or duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Engineering, Marketing; or some combination of applicable work experience and education
  • Five or more years of product management experience in the CPG space.
  • Demonstrated success in the development and management of new product lifecycle
  • Broad knowledge and experience in all product management skill areas: market research, data analytics, design expertise, product pricing and packaging, customer insight skills, and systems for projecting and measuring product line performance.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication.
  • An excellent team player who thrives in a highly collaborative working environment.
  • Proven experience working as a product developer in a non-managerial role
  • Some negligible travel may be required

Work Environment:

Position is carried out primarily in an office environment, in a factory setting. Occasional need to lift light articles.
