ROLE:
- Work within a team to perform a variety of manual duties all over the mill, specifically in entry-level jobs.
- You need to be safety-conscious, energetic, and able to understand your role in our team.
REQUIREMENTS: What you bring to our workplace
- Education: Successful completion of a high school diploma.
- Experience: Sawmill experience is an asset.
- Language: Bilingualism is an asset (French and English).
CONDITIONS: Compensation and hours.
- Wages: $26.88/hr (1st 2000 hrs @ $21.50).
- Hours: 40 per week.
- Shift work: Days and Evenings.

SETTING & LIFESTYLE: What to expect at the site and in the region
- GFFP’s Cochrane sawmill, with 120 employees, produces softwood lumber as well as wood chips.
- Cochrane, with a population of 5,500, is the service center for the surrounding area.
- The comprehensive shopping and services of Timmins, the largest city in the region, are just over an hour’s drive away.
- Northeastern Ontario appeals to outdoor enthusiasts and is known for boating and fishing among other activities.
