As a Public Transit Driver you are the familiar face that people see on their way to and from their appointments, places of work and back home again. You are also the person that gets them there safely.

The public transit job is a part time/full time position on a daily shift, with a variety of different transit positions available; Conventional, Interurban, Accessible and On-Request. Conventional transit operates fixed routes within the city of Chatham Monday - Saturday. The Interurban routes service the smaller communities within Chatham-Kent; Wallaceburg, Dresden, Blenheim, Ridgetown and Tilbury, operating fixed routes Monday - Saturday. The Accessible bus operates a door to door service for the population of Chatham-Kent that require a more specialized service than conventional transit can offer. On-Request transit operates Monday-Friday after regular fixed Conventional Routes has finished for the day; On-Request offers bus stop to bus stop direct service as needed.

All we ask for in return is that you are 21 or older, have a G Driver’s License and 2 Years of driving history. We will provide you with the necessary training absolutely FREE OF CHARGE. An F class, B class or C class license would be a tremendous asset but is not a requirement.
