Electroswitch, located South of Boston, is currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager. Reports directly to the Vice President/General Manager this position will be responsible to develop and maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System to assure that all manufactured products meet customer specifications and achieves superior quality and reliability levels. Manage and oversee Test Lab operations. Responsible for incoming inspection and final test inspection, failure analysis corrective action, customer returns, and tracking of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Internal and External PPM rates.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Establish departmental budgets and management of the department to achieve budget performance as approved by the Vice President and General Manager.
  • Manage department in accordance with operating policies and procedures in a professional manner with unquestioned integrity.
  • Provide departmental leadership relative to employee participation, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Support Management team members and other employees in achieving overall company objectives.
  • Communicate Electroswitch and departmental objectives to all employees.
  • Manage the Corrective Action system and work with responsible functional managers to identify root causes and develop/implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Provide Quality Systems training as necessary.
  • Ensure that products shipped meet the required specifications.
  • Maintain the QA manual and procedures to satisfy the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
  • Manage the internal audit program.
  • Provide a safe environment in areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure that employees are treated with respect and dignity.
  • Work with suppliers, customers, quality representatives, and company personnel to discuss and resolve quality problems as required.
  • Prepare for and represent the company during all Quality related audits.
  • Maintain a quality program to ensure conformity of purchased material and final products to Electroswitch quality standards.
  • Support the Supplier Quality Rating Program to assure that only qualified vendors are retained.
  • Coordinate and approve all sample submissions of new products and maintenance of product qualification.
  • Prepare all necessary reports as required by customers and management.
  • Assume other activities and responsibilities as directed.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • To be eligible for this position candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical. Engineering or equivalent and ten years of Quality Management experience.
  • Good understanding of Quality standards and Statistical Process Control techniques.
  • Good understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of computer programs (i.e., Excel, Word, Minitab).
This position requires access to technology that is controlled under U.S. export control laws and regulations. Accordingly, this position is restricted to U.S. citizens and permanent residents.
