Prairie Tide Diversified Inc. has an open position for a Research Analyst/Associate in an Analytical Laboratory. This position is located at our Saskatoon facility. The successful candidate would be part of a highly efficient and skilled team that works in one of the best-appointed analytical labs in Saskatoon.

Analyst/Associate Responsibilities:

· Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs.

· Receive and log samples, products, and peptides according to cGMP for analysis, product development, and manufacturing.

· Handle oils, oil products, peptides, protein samples and other products according to laboratory and batch scale protocols.

-Collect, organize, analyze, and document flaxseed samples, sort data into a database.

-Work on the production and manufacture of agriculture-based value-added chemicals and compounds.

· Clean and maintain the manufacturing area, manufacturing equipment, laboratory, laboratory equipment and office area.

· Method development for additional analytical techniques (as required).

· Order chemicals/reagents, and update laboratory inventory.

· Perform AOCS analytical techniques and other analytical methods (as required).

· Report results and archive data according to cGMP and ISO 17025-2017.

· Document information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books.

· Assist in the training of technical staff in scale-up and production methods, standard laboratory operating procedures and safety protocols.

· Write, edit and follow SOPs and monograms.

· Conduct scientific investigations on natural products, analyze data and compile research reports.

· Provide technical support and services in the optimization of industrial processes of compound recovery and isolation. Compile and complete manufacturing batch records.

· Conduct quality control tests of the in-process and final products and update product information sheets. Resolve problems by examining and evaluating data and selecting corrective steps.

· Work within a group or as an individual as required, attend and participate in group and project meetings.

Experience with HPLC, GC, and/or ICP preferred.

Experience in Chemical/Biological Sciences preferred.

· Other tasks as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
