Prolium is the leader in above ground storage tank maintenance in Canada. When it comes to storage tanks, we do it all from minor repairs and modifications to major tank upgrades. We are currently seeking resumes for Safety Lead's for various locations in Atlantic Canada for our upcoming 2022 season.

Duties:

• Enforce company safety policy and work procedures.
• Cooperate with Site Superintendent to complete all necessary investigations and ensure that no one can be exposed to unsafe conditions or unsafe activities.
• Provide Health & Safety functional leadership, mentor ship and guidance to site operations and management personnel.
• Set a positive example for safety across the site to promote proactive safety activities from all staff.
• Respond to issues relating to health, safety, environment, emergency response, performance metrics and safety management systems for site operations.
• Ensure our site complies with relevant safety legislation and regulations.
• Conduct daily health & safety inspections and maintain records.
• Carry out safety corrective actions as a result of site inspections, investigations or compliance requirements.
• Attend, participate and / or facilitate safety meetings.
• Schedule and organize safety training and orientations.
• Review subcontractor’s safety programs and provide ongoing assistance to subcontractors
• Administer first aid services to all personnel on the work site as necessary.
• Carryout other relevant duties as assigned.

Safety Certification Requirements

• H2S alive or awareness
• Confined space entry and monitor/or rescue
• CSTS 2020/WHMIS 2015
• Common safety orientation (an asset)
• Standard First Aid-2 day
• NCSO Certification-This will be checked with the company achieved from
• Class 5 driver's license
• CSA Steel toed boots required. All other PPE is provided.

Job Details and keys to success

• Punctual attendance is a requirement.
• Comply with all safety requirements
• Successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Working knowledge of MS Office (outlook, Word, Excel)
• Must provide proof of completion of all required safety certifications
• Experience with Excel (Formulas)
• Experience with writing JSA's, SWP's
• Bring a positive, ‘can-do’, ‘safety first’ attitude every day
• Participate with the team to build and maintain a productive and safe work environment.
