Previous optician experience is not necessarily required, but would be helpful for this position. The office is open Monday-Saturday and you will work a 40-hour schedule within their hours of operation. Pay is up to $17.00/hour, depending on your experience. Job Duties for the Optician and Sales position include:

• Relaying product knowledge to the patient
• Explaining costs and benefits of the products
• Adjusting frames and lenses to satisfy the patients’ needs
• Developing plans with the doctor to ensure that the prescription glasses are appropriate for the patient
• Performing general office duties, as necessary
• Providing excellent customer service and displaying professionalism

Job Qualifications for Optician include:

• 6 months minimum of sales experience and comfort discussing prices with customers
• An interest in the fashion industry
• Willingness to learn
