Summary:

The Sample Preparation Technician will be preparing samples for analysis in our labs.

Please note:

• This position will be working 12 hour shifts with 4 days on 4 off rotation which will include holidays and overtime.
• Candidates will be working out of our Timmins location, those with reliable transportation to get to and from work is preferred.

Duties:

• Unpack, sort, check, crush and pulverize mineral samples using specialized equipment.
• Safely follow standard operating procedures, and perform quality control checks as required.
• Enter sample data into computer, ensuring accurate details.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma.
• Fork Lift certification/license is an asset.
• Ability to lift 25 kg on a consistent basis.
• Hand-Eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a mature work ethic.
• Problem solving, communication, organization, and time management.
• Commitment to the production of accurate and timely results.
• Ability to work hours and shifts, with some overtime including weekends.
• Must be able to properly wear PPE, which includes a breathing respirator/mask that will need to seal to face, and follow all safety protocols.
