Objective of Role:
We are currently seeking a buy-side Securities Analyst to join LaSalle’s Securities team in Baltimore, MD and support our coverage of global listed property companies. LaSalle Securities, a subsidiary of LaSalle Investment Management and Jones Lang LaSalle, manages assets on behalf of institutional investors in the public equity markets. We invest in publicly traded REITs and real estate-oriented businesses both domestically and abroad.

Accountabilities:
Conduct due diligence on public companies and real estate markets by analyzing financial statements, interviewing company management teams and reviewing other sources of market and company information
Prepare and maintain cash flow and valuation models
Monitor news flow from companies
Support portfolio managers in making investment recommendations based on the LaSalle Investment Management (Securities) valuation methodology
Disseminate ideas to investment team through written and oral communications

Required Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field
One to five years of related work experience
Excellent analytical skills
Knowledge of DCF, NPV and cash flow models
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Interest in the CFA program is a plus
