Job description

The Retail Guard will be responsible for

· Maintaining positive, professional working relationships with clients

· Maintaining high standards of personal appearance

· Ensuring that all forms, manuals, and policies are adhered to in the appropriate manner

· Prevent theft of client’s products and merchandise within the store

· Responding to alarms, patrolling site, and securing premises as required by site post orders

· Providing access control to client properties in accordance with post orders

· Completing written reports as necessary in accordance with post orders

· Ensuring that people banned from entering the store do not enter the store

· Helping employees, clients, and customers where necessary

· Other duties as may be required by the client and General Manager.

· Ability to stand for a longer period

Requirements

· Must hold a valid Ontario Security License

· Must be available to work all shifts and willing to assist the team with overtime when needed

· Customer Service skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and demanding work environment.

· Has conflict resolution skills and can use them effectively

· Demonstrates a high level of honesty and integrity in all aspects of job performance

· Maintains the confidentiality of employees, clients, and the company always.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $16.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Holidays
• Night shift
• On call

Licence/Certification:

• Security Guard Licence (required)
• First Aid Certification (required)
• Driving Licence (preferred)
