We are currently seeking an experienced self-motivated Senior Accountant to join our Finance team!

Responsibilities

As Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Prepare, review monthly, quarterly, and annual Financial Statements which including consolidated Financial Statements.
  • To lead in the accurate month-end close by established standards and deadlines.
  • Work closely with all company departments involve in the month end close to ensure timely submission of reports needed for month end close.
  • Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital charges.
  • Determines proper handling of financial transactions within designated limits.
  • Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
  • Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Makes recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare re-class journal entries when necessary
  • Lead in the monthly Account Analyses and reconciliations of all balance sheet and OPEX accounts.
  • Review Fixed Asset reconciliation and project tracking
  • Income Statement variance analysis
  • Financial audit (annual),(semi-annual) and periodic federal, state, bank, 401K, Insurance and other audits.
  • Liaison with external auditors and provide require documents and compilation of data
  • Understanding of governmental regulations, to assist in compiling data as required by law.
  • Work closely with the AP and AR team to ensure daily activities and analyses are preformed and completed.
  • Adhoc financial reports and analysis as needed
  • Cross train with other Accountants
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA, or CMA a plus
  • 5 years or more relevant experience in a mid sized manufacturing company or division of a large corporation
  • Excellent communication skills are required to interact with upper management to promote ideas and transfer detailed knowledge to others and to respond to common inquiries from customers on most sensitive inquiries or complaints
  • Advanced proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proficiency and working experience with ERP systems, Basic Accounting software systems; experience with Vantage a plus
