Responsibilities:
Peraton is currently looking for a senior Data Quality Analyst to support the National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) - Defense Information System for Security (DISS) application. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton team working on the Defense Counterintelligence and Security (DCSA), Personnel Security/Assurance (PSA) Sustainment contract.

This position will be 100% remote; however individual must be U.S. Citizen residing within the U.S. To be considered, candidate must hold a current Top-Secret clearance (based on SSBI investigation/T5) and have Current/Active CompTIA Security+. As a senior Data Quality Analyst, you will:
  • Work across all IT environments collaboratively as well as independently, with minimum management oversight
  • Work cross functionally creating complex custom reports and executing data extracts
  • Perform complex data quality analysis, evaluation, reconciliation and data manipulation
  • Write and test scripts, functions, procedures, and views in an Oracle 12c or newer database environment.
  • Develop, review and maintain SQL queries, functions, procedures, and PL/SQL packages
  • Execute data extracts, data transfers, create MS Excel PIVOT Tables, using Oracle SQL Developer 18 or newer to import/export data to/from flat files and spreadsheets and working with Views, Materialized Views, and Procedures
  • Translate business rules into a data dictionary
  • Manage ticket requests for data extractions to produce customized data reports within established SLA
  • Manage ticket requests for data quality requests to produce data corrections within established SLA
  • Demonstrate efficient decision-making skills, resourcefulness and effectively articulate complex, technical concepts including data findings and solutions to varied levels including technical partners, government clients, non-technical management and co-contractors
  • Conduct Peer-to-Peer script reviews
  • Mentor less experienced team members
  • Fully document all data analysis processes
  • Contribute to the improvement of processes and procedure(s) to help standardize corrective action for use across the Data Reporting and Data Quality initiatives
  • Prioritize workload, process improvement solutions and monitor progress to meet operational duties and high-priority deadlines for security clearance and suitability systems

To be successful in this role, the candidate must execute multiple data analyst assignments (Data Reporting, Data Corrections and Data Quality Initiatives (DQIs)) simultaneously and within the established timelines with no more than 1 out of 10 tasks returned for rework. Progressive success should be demonstrated by task execution of increased complexity. The ability to effectively manage and meet deadlines within tight schedules and quickly reprioritize tasks without loss of productivity is non-negotiable.

This position will work in a collaborative team environment supporting a U.S. Government contract that provides personnel security management support to the DoD. This position demands exceptional communication, collaboration and coordination skills working across internal and external technical groups. This is not a DBA role.

Qualifications:
Required Experience/Education:
  • BS 10-12, MS 8-10, Phd 5-7
  • Top Secret (DoD) Security Clearance with fully adjudicated SSBI
  • Active Security+ Certification (minimum 6 months from expiration date)
  • USA Citizen

Desired Experiences:
  • Use of Microsoft’s SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio (IDE), Oracle Data Analytics, Unix, as well as data sync/replication tools a strong plus.
